MP808TS outputs a command to the ECU during the actuation test to drive the actuators. Then it determines the integrity of the system or parts by reading the ECU data or monitoring the actuators’ operation, such as switching an injector between two operating states. (This option is used to access vehicle-specific subsystem and component tests. The available test varies by vehicle manufacturer, year, and model.)

Before removing each control unit and component, the bi-directional control would be a better option for locating the problems. The MaxiPRO MP808TS would be a commander instead of an order receiver of ECU.
